Project FOCUS by Wim Tellier: An Unforgettable Art Experience
For the first time ever, kitesurfing will be combined with Project FOCUS by acclaimed artist Wim Tellier. In collaboration with 250 fishermen, Tellier has created a monumental art installation of 100 traditional pirogues, each adorned with custom sails featuring photographs of irises taken using a technique designed by the artist himself. These boats form an 1800-meter-long exhibition that stretches across the beautiful beach of Ankasy Lodge, with the artwork seeming to disappear into infinity.
The Iris, as the purest part of the human body and a window to the soul, is the central theme of this project. By combining the raw power of kitesurfing with the timeless beauty of art, we are creating a truly unique and emotional experience that transcends both sport and culture.
This is the first event of its kind, where 30 kitesurfers will sail from the ocean, seamlessly connecting to the breathtaking art installation on the beach. It's a perfect example of how art and adventure can come together to inspire and elevate each other.
Unique Bungalows by the Lagoon
Throughout your stay, you'll reside in unique bungalows situated next to a private lagoon. These eco-friendly bungalows offer stunning views and comfortable amenities, perfect for recharging after a day of kitesurfing. For those seeking even more privacy, there's an option to upgrade to a private bungalow at an additional cost, giving you an even more exclusive experience.
Local Cuisine
As part of this adventure, you'll enjoy authentic local Malagasy cuisine, prepared fresh with the finest ingredients. Discover the rich flavors and diverse dishes of Madagascar, offering a perfect way to unwind after a day of physical activity and excitement.
Backup Activities for Non-Windy Days
Even on days when the wind takes a break, there's plenty to do. You can join in activities like spikeball, beach volleyball, or enjoy a workout in the private gym. If you're looking for water-based activities, there's SUP, snorkeling, or even wakeboarding. You'll also have the opportunity to go fishing with locals, gaining insight into Madagascar's traditional ways of life.
